World Gym Nears Completion
La Plata will soon see the doors open at the World Gym located on the corner of Route 6 and 301. It is in the old Safeway building beside the Outback Steakhouse. This 25,000 square foot facility will offer the latest in state of the art exercise equipment and will be a welcome addition to the area.
A Second McDonald's Location Underway
Work has begun on another McDonald's, which is being built on Route 301 and Drury Drive in La Plata, Maryland. It will sit next to the Chick-fil-A and is expected to open during the spring of 2010.
Panera Bread Coming to La Plata
The La Plata Planning Commission approved the final site development plan for the project after a brief presentation on Tuesday January 5th. It will be built in front of the Petco store on Shining Willow Way and will provide area residents with another great dining option.
